Here is my 94-word entry. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Hoodwinked for Halloween

It crept from a crack

at the base of my wall.

I swear when it stood,

it dwarfed my t-ball.

It glared. I shivered.

Then it ran for my bed.

I climbed on my pillow,

and howled with dread.

“It’s okay,” said Fred,

rushing into my room.

“Don’t witches like spiders?”

He brandished a broom.

The spider just sneered,

took my cauldron and blinked.

When a clink and a buzz

told me I’d been hoodwinked.

I dashed out my door,

to see them both hug.

Little do they know,

the candy’s in my mug.
